JAPAN AIR GASES reinforces its position in Shizuoka region
by starting a new Air Separation Plant

Air Liquide Japan Ltd., Japan Air Gases Co. is pleased to announce that it has completed construction of Shizuoka Plant, a new gas production plant in Yoshida-cho, Haibara-gun, Shizuoka prefecture.

The new air separation plant, built by Air Liquide Engineering Japan (Kako-gun, Hyogo prefecture) with its proprietary technologies, will contribute to further reinforcement of our gas production network with about 20 large plants and about 120 on-site units that cover all over Japan. This is the first liquid air gas production plant in Shizuoka. It will enable more efficient and stable gas supply to our customers in Shizuoka and Chubu area where the gas demand is increasing, particularly in the automotive and electronics industries.

Following the completion of construction by the end of October, the new plant has started its commercial production for nearby customers and merchant customers in the region. Completion ceremony was held with concerned parties on November 19th.
